Those of us who attended the Terrace Holiday Luncheon in December were asked to contribute pairs of new socks to be given to Sidewalk Warriors. The community volunteer organization that helps the homeless in many ways had asked for socks which are among the most-requested item by their clients.
Well, we provided them. In abundance.
Janice Dessingue, who coordinated the luncheon and donations, reports that Sidewalk Warriors were thrilled with our contributions and were able to create 100 "sock packs" (two pair each) to hand out.
