School supplies drive is under way

Surprise! It's already time to think about the next school year. Well, it is at the Troy Public Library which is conducting a school supplies drive.

Now through August 1, residents are asked to donate new school supplies to be distributed to students in grades K-12 at the end of the summer. Click here to find a list of preferred supplies compiled by the library staff.

Your donations can be dropped off at the following locations: 

• Hannaford Supermarket, 126th Street (adjacent to the Waterford bridge)
• Polish American Club, 507 1st Street 
• Troy Fire Department Station #1, 115th Street and 5th Avenue 
• Troy Fire Department Station #5, 6th Avenue and Jacob Street 
• Troy Fire Department Station #6, Canal Street and 3rd Avenue 
• Afrikan Queens Boutique, 96 5th Avenue
