City officials have issued a traffic advisory for the latest round of scheduled roadway improvement work for the week of October 10. All work is weather dependent, and subject to change.
• Beginning at 6 a.m., Monday, October 10, through Wednesday, October 12, crews will be milling 6th Avenue between and 122nd streets.• Beginning at 6 a.m., Tuesday, October 11, crews will be milling 3rd Street between Adams Street and Canal Avenue and 4th Street between Adams and Ida streets. \• Beginning at 6 a.m., Thursday, October 13, crews will be milling 8th Street between Congress Street and Peoples Avenue.• Beginning at 6 a.m., Friday, October 14, crews will be milling and paving Frear Park Road between 15th Street and North Lake Avenue, 3rd Street between Adams Street and Canal Avenue, 4th Street between Adams and Ida streets.
Motorists are asked to reduce speeds and watch for flaggers to keep crews safe. Residents should observe all posted parking restrictions. Local emergency services have been notified of traffic restrictions. Businesses and homes in the vicinity of the scheduled roadway improvement work will remain open and accessible.
The announcement notes that, "Since 2016, the City of Troy has paved over 32 miles of roadways, accounting for 22% of the city’s approximately 148 miles of streets and alleyways. A map of the city’s paving progress can be found online.
