One of the negatives about navigating traffic in the City of Troy is its large number of one-way streets. Well, brace yourself. Here comes another one.
As of 5 a.m. Monday, October 17, Washington Street will permanently change from being a two-way thoroughfare to one-way with traffic flowing westbound only between 5th Avenue and River Street. The affected road runs along the north side of Washington Park.An announcement from the City of Troy explains, "The change will address safety concerns related to the limited width of the street, especially noticeable during the winter months."
